Preschool Concert Layout

Good afternoon all. Hope you're all well.
I'm back today with a layout of my daughter's end of year preschool concert and Christmas party....

It was completed with some retired DSP, retiring Ruby Red and returning River Rock, together with the Vintage Vogue stamp set, tag punches and twine.
Feel free to leave your comments on this, or any other post.
Thank you again for stopping by my Blog.
Take care.

Rain = Lots of Scrapbooking!

Well, it has been bucketing down here today. And isn't this just the perfect weather for crafting? Sure is, and here are the results of staying indoors today...

I didn't entirely do all of these today but I did get to finish them all off.

Well, have a good night, enjoy the State of Origina game tonight & try to stay indoors if you can.

I (Heart) Hearts Layout

Hello again.

I'm back today with an additional post to the ones I promised - yep, wow! This time it's another scrapbooking layout that I forgot to post last week.

You've seen one of the photos before but the layout is different. To be fair I always do two layouts - one for each daughter.

I broke in the I (Heart) Hearts stamp set with some DSP & Basic Grey and Sahara Sand colours.

Thanks for stopping by again!

Fifth Out of Five Posts!

Are you proud of me for honouring my promise to post every day this week? I am - ha ha!

Well, today I have my final and very different post for the week...

I made this card for our little neighbour, Zoe who will be turning ONE early next month. I was inspired by this card by Marelle Taylor that I found here, but I was unable to locate it on her website.

I was so happy to use the All in the Family set again. It's just so adorable and versatile. The images were coloured with markers, punched with the square punch and mounted on larger Chocolate Chip squares. It was my first time using the little jewellery tag punch too! The little heart was punched out using the Heart to Heart punch.

I really hope she (or at least her mummy) likes it.

Well, that's it! Phew!

I'll probably have a few days break from posting after that mega effort. So until then, take care.

Thursday's Post

Thursday is here which means that I have another post for you!

I thought I'd give you a break from Mr Birdie so this time I have used the Vintage Vogue stamp set, together with the En Francais background stamp and Top Note and Little leaves die cuts. I also used the oval punch and Pretty in Pink ribbon. The sentiment is from the Wonderful Favourites set.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for my last post of the week & something completely different.

Take care.

Wednesday's Post

Well, I'm right on schedule with my third post of the week. Have you fallen over yet? Take it all in because it may not happen again for a very long time. Ha ha...

Surprise, surprise (not!), it's another Mr Birdie card!

The supplies used are almost the same as for yesterday's card so I won't retype them.

Hope to see you again tomorrow!

What an honour!

Oh my gosh, I was just visiting the very Nancy Riley's iStamp Blog, as I do religiously, when I got a HUGE surprise!

Nancy is an extremely talented stamper who surfs the web each week to find and feature her favourite cards and projects created by others. Well, I almost fell over when I saw that she had featured one of my cards on her Blog! At first I thought, "Oh, that card looks familiar" and it was only a few seconds later that I realised it was MY card. What an honour! She really made my day.

If you get a chance, please visit her Blog as it amazing. You'll be truly inspired.

Thank you, Nancy!

A Post a Day!

Now brace yourselves! I'm going to have a post per day every day this week! OK, have you fainted? Ha ha. I've already made the projects but I thought I'd share them with you slowly to buy me more time to make new projects.
Well, ready for today's effort? It's a double page layout of my older daughter's dance concert...

I love how the colours really match the outfit perfectly. What do you think?

Colours used were: Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White.
Stamps: Petal Pizzaz
Other: Alphabet dies, Little Leaves die, crystals
Be sure to come back tomorrow for some new cards. See you then.

May Class

Hi everyone!

I hope you're all keeping warm on this cold night. Brrrr....

I'm here to share with you the three projects from our May cardmaking class:

Firstly, is a quilt-effect card using the Rich Razzleberry colour for the first time, & teamed together with Old Olive & Whisper White. The squares were punched out with the square punches. The stamps are from the Vintage Vogue & Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp sets & the gorgeous little bird was punched out using the Two-Step Bird Punch. The sentiment was punched using the Word Window punch. The little button was from my stash.

The second project was a matching gift tag:

The last project of the night was a male card. I got in early for Father's Day with mine but the ladies could choose any sentiment they liked.

We made an origami shirt using some retired paper and some coathanger brads that I had bought some time ago for a particular project but never ended up using. The result is a very simple, masculine card for any occasion.

Colours used were Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand & Very Vanilla.

Now for the little thank you gift I made for all the attendees. There were tiny little marshmallows inside - yummo! Thank you for another fun night, ladies!

And just one more thing before I go. Are you over me yet? Ha ha... Here is the cupcake bouquet I made for the night. Yes, the roses are made from vanilla & buttercream cupcakes!!!

Gosh, I've been busy! Don't expect too much from me in the next few weeks. Ha ha...Just kidding! Lots more scrapbooking to catch up on so stay tuned.

Thanks for visiting & enjoy your weekend.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

I'm just winding down now from our Mother's Day celebrations. What a gorgeous thing it is to be able to celebrate our mothers and to be celebrated by our own beautiful children. I just love how excited they get about the presents they chose & managed to keep a secret (well, sort of) from us. The look on their faces when you tell them that their presents are the most beautiful presents you have ever received, is priceless. The memories, everlasting.

Well, to top off a great day, I just got on the computer to find that I had received this wonderful award from the talented Leonie Conyers (Stamp and Scrap in Heaven):

Thank you so much, Leonie!

So, now it's my turn to pass this award on to some other inspiring and talented ladies:

1. Diane Barnes - Colour Me Happy

2. Kerry Bunting - KB Papercraft

3. Mandy Schiller

4. Me, My Stamps & I

5. Angelique Kelly - Creative Inspirations

And now I believe that I'm supposed you some facts about me. Gosh, I'm a little embarrassed but here goes:

1. I HATE chocolate! Strange, I know, but I hate anything chocolate or containing chocolate.

2. I love baking & decorating cupcakes.

3. I'm a perfectionist, clean-freak and love routine in my life.

4. I love being a stay-at-home mum even though my girls drive me crazy at times.

5. I have a bit of a button phobia. I don't really like them but I'm trying to conquer my button phobia & you'll soon see them featured in a scrapbooking layout.

6. I love dogs and miss my Golden Retriever, Samson terribly since he passed away almost three years ago.

7. I used to train my dog and compete with him on obedience competitions. He later became a Pets as Therapy dog & we volunteered in a local nursing home.

8. I love papercrafts - stamping, scrapbooking & making 3D items.

9. I was born in Uruguay.

10. I love the internet, especially Facebook & Ebay!

There! That's it!

Well, I hope you enjoyed your Mother's Day too.

Take care.

Just Dance Layout

This time I'm back with another double layout commemorating Demi's first dance concert...

I always love pink & green together. This time I used Rose Red and Wild Wasabi. I also used the Petal Pizzaz stamp set & you will also notice my alphabet dies in action again, together with the Little Leaves die too.

Well, back to the craft room now while Demi rests.
Take care & enjoy your day :)

Swimming Carnival Layout

My little Demi has been sick with a gastro bug & the flu over these last few days so we've pretty much been homebound. I hope the poor little thing feels better really soon. It's so sad when our little ones get sick. :(
The only good thing is that I've been able to use my time at home productively, catching up on my scrapbooking. Here is a layout of Mia's swimming carnival last year...

I'm really getting some good use out of my alphabet dies & I know I will continue to do so for a long time. They are a great investment.
I'll be back in a minute with another post.
