Aviary Mother's Day Card

Hello everyone.

A very quick post today (I always seem to be in a hurry) to show you the Mother's Day card I made for my Mum this year. Here it is...

I took inspiration from this card at http://enchantedoccasions.blogspot.com.au/2012/01/less-is-more-week-50.html

Mine is an easel card, for which I used the cute Aviary set and the Thoughts and Prayers set for the branch. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny sentiments. I inked the word 'mother' (you can see the full sentiment on the inside of the card) using my Rose Red marker and punched it out using the Jewellery Tag punch, one of my favourite punches, along with the little flower from the Itty Bitty Punch set. The flowers were embellished with adhesive half-pearls.

The branch was also coloured with markers - Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery and Rose Red. The cage was stamped in Basic Black. The birdies were stamped with Rose Red ink.

The inside was decorated with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch and the Decorative Label Punch.

The cardstock was Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Rose Red.

Now bring on Mother's Day! Always a great day, isn't it?

Take care.

Share A Cup For Mother's Day

Good morning folks! I hope you're all well this morning as we count down to the end of the school holidays. :(

I held my Mother's Day Class last night with eight lovely ladies, including two new recruits! :)

We had a great and fun night producing this gorgeous little set...

 The set includes a card...

A little display box to hold four little note cards...

The four little note cards...

Here are the note cards up close...

And finally, a gift tag...

A lot of work for the ladies, don't you agree? But nothing they couldn't handle. I'm sure their mothers will be delighted upon receiving these handmade projects from their daughters.

I'll leave you with a list of supplies used:

Cardstock: Whisper White, Rose Red, Old Olive, So Saffron
Ink: Basic Black, Rose Red, Old Olive, So Saffron

Accessories and Tools: Fancy Favour Box, Two Tags Die, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 and 3/8 Circle Punch, Curly label Punch, Square Punches, Itty Bitty Punch Set flower, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch, ribbon.

Gosh, we sure used a lot of stuff! I think I have all of it.

Well, enjoy your weekend. Catch you all soon.

Christmas Scrapbooking

Hello again.

Hope you're all well. I have to say that I'm loving these school holidays. Lots of R & R! So much so that I managed to complete another two double page layouts. Gotta love that! Here they are...

This first one is for Demi's album. It's of her first Athletics Carnival.

My little chicken came second in her sprint!

This Christmas layout is for Mia's album...

I do have completed another layout but I'm not really happy. :( It's just lacking something. Hopefully I can work on it some more over the next couple of days. Wish me luck!

Hula Girls

Hi everyone!

Welcome to Thursday. I hope you're all feeling well and ready to tackle the day.

I just wanted to share two cards with you before I start getting ready for work. Here they are:

Isn't this little hula girl just adorable? She's a dream to watercolour. I recently obtained some tips on shading with watercolours so it was fun to try them out. I think the colouring turned out well but practice will, hopefully, make perfect.

I pulled out some retired DSP and retired colours for these cards - Groovy Guava, Soft Sky and Blue Bayou. I really like the combination.

The sentiments are both from Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess set and the musical notes background was created with the Music Notes wheel. I just ordered this wheel and wonder why I didn't discovered it earlier. I have a feeling it's going to get quite a workout! I think the rest is quite self-explanatory.

I'll be back either tonight or tomorrow with a couple of scrapbooking layouts to show you. In the meantime, have a great day.

Andrea :)

A Red, Grey and Blue Christmas

Hi all!

How are you? Used to the end of Daylight Savings yet? Not me! I hate it, but there is one good thing that has come of it. The girls have been ready for school a whole hour early! No shouting required - ha ha!

Anyway, I'm back today with some scrapbooking pages. Yeah! Finally! These are for Demi's album...

I love the bold colours fo Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Ruby Red (retired) and Basic Grey. Not much else to it, except for some die cut numbers, some Cherry Cobbler ribbon and some charms from my stash. I'm trying to keep things quick and simple so I can catch up on my scrapbooking backlog. Feels great to get back into it,

OK, I'm off. Next! ;)
