Babies Everywhere!

Yes, there seem to be new babies everywhere at the moment, and there could be nothing nicer than that!

And so it is that I have another baby card to show you. It's much like the one in my previous post, except for the colour scheme...

This time I used Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Cheery Cobbler and Whisper White. Not traditionally baby colours but I like to be different. :)

That's it. Nice and quick.

Catch you again soon. Good night.

It's a Baby Boy

I received a message from a friend yesterday asking if I wouldn't mind making a card for her new baby nephew, as she hadn't seen any that she liked at the shops. Are you kidding me? Would I mind? I'd love to! And not just one either. I just had to make two for her to choose from.

I dropped them off to her this morning, but of course I took some photos before letting them go.

First up I made this card using images from my new Bundle of Love stamp set, the "Congratulations" sentiment from my new Love & Laughter stamp set, the little sentiment from the Little Additions stamp set, and paper from my new Subtles paper pack. New, new, new! Gotta love new stuff!

If you look carefully you can see that I stamped the smaller images from the Bundle of Love in Bashful Blue ink onto the Bashful Blue paper. Cardstock colours are Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. The image was stamped on watercolour paper with black StazOn ink, was coloured with ink pads and an Aqua Painter, and was embellished with silver brads. The circles were punched with various circle punches.

The next card was inspired by this card that I found whilst surfing the net.

This card was completed using various punches: Star Punches, Owl Punch, Scallop Circle and Circle Punches, Large Oval Punch and Square Punch. The largest circle was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.

Cardstock used was Chip, Bashful Blue and Whisper White. The sentiment if from the Little Additions stamp set.

Beachy Theme

Just had to use my gorgeous new beachy images again, so this time I used them on a card...

This is the inside of the card, in which I stamped the image again...

There's the ol' Crumb Cake cardstock again, teamed with So Saffron and Pretty in Pink this time. The pink card strip was punch with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch. The background was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. The image was coloured with ink pads and an Aqua Painter. The sentiment is from the Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess set. Did you spot the little flower from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack again? ;)

Two posts in one day. Not a bad effort if I say so myself.

Well, have a good night and I hope that those of you with children are enjoying the school holidays despite of the cold weather.

Stay warm.

Andrea

Scrapbooking Layouts

Hi everyone!

I have two scrapbooking layouts to share with you today - one of Mia during our holiday in Fiji last year, and the other of Mia at the Athletics Carnival last year. Gosh, I'm so behind! Well, here they are...

First up is the Fiji layout. I used Crumb Cake (which I'm really into at the moment), Real Red and Bashful Blue cardstock, and First Edition paper of which I tore the edged using the Tearing Edge ruler. I sponged the edges of the paper with Bashful Blue. The images were stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured using ink pads and an Aqua Painter. The little flower in the girl's hair was punch with one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. This little flower features in just about every one of my projects lately. :)

Now for the very simple layout of Mia at her Athletics Carnival...

No great athletic accomplishments on the day, unfortunately, :( but I just wanted to write Mia a few words to let her know that it doesn't really matter if she comes a place or not as long as she knows in her heart that she tried her very best and had lots of fun in the process. No one excels at everything. And this lesson applies to everything in life, not just running races. I will always be there to support her and cheer her on in life. I will always be proud of her regardless of the outcome but she owes it to herself to always give everything 100% effort. It's the least anyone can do in gratitude for being put on this earth.

Too deep? Sorry! Let's move on and talk about the supplies.

I used Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Bashful Blue and Night of Navy cardstock. The background was creaed with stamps from the Extreme Elements set and the stars were punched with the Large Star Punch. Very quick and simple.

Don't go too far. I have another post coming right up!

Andrea :)
