Punch Art Lioness Card

I just loved that little lion from my last post so much that I decided to make a girl / lioness version of him. Here she is...

For the lioness version, I added a fringe (bangs), eyelashes and a little flower in her hair. The leaves were cut with the Bird Punch. All other supplies used are as my previous post.

She's such a sweetie. :)

Punch Art Lion Card

OMG, how cute is this little lion?

I've been meaning to make him since I stumbled on many fine examples of him online, and what better occasion to give it a go, than our little neighbour's second birthday.

He was made using the Blossom Builder Punch, different sized circle punches, and little heart from the Owl Punch for the nose and tail tip. The background was stamped with the Off the Grid stamp and the sentiment is from the Vintage Labels stamp set.

I have to say he puts a smile on my face. :)

Six Sided Sampler Pastel Card

I think these should be the last of forgotten cards I have to show you.

First up is this very dainty card featuring the Six Sided Sampler stamp set from SU. I also used a butterfly image from the Papillon Potpourri set, a flower from the Petite Petals set, and the matching punches. The sentiment is from the retired Vintage Labels set.

This next card was quickly thrown together with some left over stamped images. Great for those little last minute gift-giving emergencies.

Supplies are as per the first card.

 All done. :)

Catch you all soon.

Hawaiian Girly

I'm still digging through my photos, searching for cards that I haven't posted yet. Hmmm, there are a few more than I anticipated. Gosh, I've been slack! Ha ha... Anyway, here is another one of them...

This is sweet Hawaiian Birgitta from C.C.Designs. She has been coloured with SU markers. The hair looks a little patchy in the photo. I think my Crumb Cake marker is running out. :(

The background was stamped in Pretty in Pink with a stamp from the Off the Grid stamp set. The butterfly was stamped with one of the stamps from the Papillion Potpourri set. It was punched with the matching punch. I just love butterflies and will include one at any opportunity. Ha ha...

A Friend's 40th

Another post today of a 40th birthday card I forgot to show you a few months ago, featuring a gorgeous Audrey Hepburn image:

Again, I've kept it simple and within the party's theme of red and black. I just coloured her in with Stampin' Up! markers and in true Audrey style, I embellished her with adhesive half-pearls. The sentiment is from the retired Afterthoughts stamp set.

BTW, it was a great party!

Holy Communion Card

Following on from my post of my daughter's Communion invitations a little while ago, today I have to show you the Communion card I made for her...

This image is also gorgeous. Another sweet angel floating around on clouds cut from felt using cloud dies. She was coloured using Stampin' Up! markers, an her wings were 'Stickled.' Her dress has been embellished with adhesive half-pearls. The sentiment is from the now retired Special Blessing stamp set. That's about it. Not much to it but I'm sure my baby will love it.

First Attempt With Stampin' Up! Blendabilities

Hello everyone!

Long time, no Blog - again! But if anything was going to entice me to make a card and post it, it was going to be the new Blendabilities markers from Stampin' Up!

Here is my first and very basic attempt at using them...

Not the best photo, unfortunately, but I think you should still be able to make out the graduating Coastal Cabana colours on the flowers, which are from the Stampin' Up! Flower Shop stamp set. The flowers were stamped in black Memento ink on Whisper White cardstock, and punched using the matching Pansy Punch. The sentiment is from the retired Vintage Labels set, also from SU.

Can't wait to get my hands on some more of the colours and gradually build up my collection.

My Nephew's Getting Married!

The excitement is building as my nephew is getting married tomorrow!

Here is the card I made for the newly married couple-to-be:

I have to admit that the card is geared more towards to the bride, but the image is cute, I just couldn't resist using her. Her name is Bride Emma and she is from C.C. Designs. The sentiment is from Love and Laughter.

Now bring on the wedding and the partying!

Take care, everyone.

Mother's Day 2014

To all you ladies out there, I hope you all had a fabulous Mother's Day, whether it be with your kids, your mums or friends. I think it's a great day to celebrate women in general.

Here is the card I made for my mum:

For my mum's card I used the Love and Sympathy stamp set. The background was stamped with the Off the Grid stamp. The butterfly is from the Papillion Potpourri set. It was punch out using the matching punch, and embellished with adhesive half pearls. The sentiment is from Vintage Labels.

This next card is the card I made for my Mother-In-Law:

For this card I used my new Six Sided Sampler stamp set and matching punch. The butterfly is as above, and the sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes.

The colours I used for both cards were Whisper White, Old Olive, Rose Red and Pretty in Pink.

I hope you like them. :)

Catch you all soon.

My Baby Girl's Communion Invitations

Just this past week my baby girl made her First Reconciliation and now with much excitement, we await the day of her First Holy Communion.

Here are the invitations I made for the upcoming special day...

I'm so happy with how they turned out. Just so perfect for her.

The card base was cut using the Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die from Stampin' Up! The image of the little angel and teddy bear angel is so cute. I coloured it with Stampin' Up! markers, added extra sparkle to the wings with Stickles glitter glue, and embellished the angel's (Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girl Guardian Angel stamp) necklace with a heart shaped adhesive rhinestone. I curled her wings to add dimension. The cloud was cut out of felt using a cloud die, and mounted with foam tape.

These really put a smile on my face. Now bring on that special day. :)

Bride To Be's Kitchen Tea Bouquet

My nephew is getting married next month and his fiancée's Kitchen Tea is coming up next week. I wanted my card for the occasion to be extra special, so searching the net for inspiration I came across this card for inspiration, and based my own card on it:

http://stampingville.blogspot.com.au/2011/08/bouquet-card-for-bride-to-be.html

Here is my card:

The card base colours are Crumb Cake and Pretty in Pink.

I cut slivers of Old Olive card stock and bound them together with pink ribbon. The flowers were punched with one of the flowers from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, and embellished with tiny adhesive half-pearls. I printed the sentiment on my computer and punch it out using the Jewellery Tag Punch.

I just love how this turned out!

Petite Petals Sweet Sixteenth

A lovely young lady is turning sixteen this week. Such an exciting milestone. Such exciting times. Oh, to be sixteen again!

Here is the card I made for her using the Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch:

I stamped the flowers, punched them out, curled up the petals, embellished them with an adhesive rhinestone, and mounted them onto the card with foam tape to added dimension. To the centre flower I added a little "16" tag punched with the Jewellery Tag Punch...and that's it.

Sweet and simple. :)

Bunny Hugs

Look at this cute bunny I have to show you today:

She features on a birthday card I made for one of Mia's friends, but she could just as easily be at home on an Easter card or tag. Excuse me while I add that thought to my looooong list of things to try.

Now, where was I? Oh, yes. I was about to tell you that I can't remember the name of this adorable bunny stamp or who it's manufactured by, and I'm too tired to go upstairs and check, so I will check tomorrow and update this post with the info. All other supplies used to make this card are from Stampin' Up!, except for the cloud die, which I seem to be using on just about every card at the moment. Obsessed much? Ha ha...

Andrea :)

Ok, I've checked and the stamp is by Stampavie.

Ice Cream Birgitta

Hi everyone!

What a bad Blogger I've been. :( But I have finally found a few moments to show you what I've been up to.

Firstly, a card for a Demi's BFF from school:

This Crumb Cake base card features the gorgeous Ice Cream Birgitta from C.C.Designs. She was coloured with Stampin' Up! markers. The background was stamped with Versa Mark ink using the Extreme Elements stamp set. The butterfly was stamped with a stamp from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set, punched using the Elegant Butterfly Punch, and embellished with adhesive rhinestones. The little flower in Birgitta's hair was punched with a punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. The sentiment is from the now retired SU stamp set, Vintage Labels.

So cute. :)

Happy Birthday to a Nurse

Today's card was made for my nephew's fiancé who is a nurse...

Love this cute image from Kraftin Kimmie Designs. She would also be perfect for Get Well cards, don't you think?

All other supplies used are from Stampin' Up! - cardstock, ink, markers, adhesive pearl and sentiment (retired afterthoughts stamp set).

Thanks for stopping by my Blog. Feel free to leave me a word or two, and be sure to pop by again.

Flower Shop Bundle

I just couldn't wait to ink up the gorgeous Stampin' Up! Flower Shop Bundle stamp set!

Here is the result of my second attempt with this set and matching punch...

Very similar to my first card that you can see here, just with different colours. The flowers were stamped using the rock 'n' roll technique, punched out, curled up using a pencil, and embellished using adhesive half pearls. The leaves were punched using the Two Step Bird Punch. Then sentiment is from the Vintage Labels stamp set. All supplies used are from Stampin' Up!

It's Invitation Time Again!

Yep, it's that time of year again. That time when the girls' birthdays are looming and the air is filled with crazy excitement. Oh, to be a kid again. :)

Here are Mia's invitations to her slumber party, which have recently been given out to her school friends...

This cute little girl in her PJ's is from C.C. Designs (Sugarplums PJ Emma). She was stamped in Black StazOn ink and coloured with Stampin' Up! markers. The Crumb Cake background was cut using the Scallop Square die from Stampin' Up! and the little flower in the girl's hair was punched with one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, also from Stampin' Up! The cloud was also cut using a die.

The shine you can see in the photos is from the cellophane bags that I used instead of envelopes.

Now, let the countdown to the party begin. Woo hoo!

Catch you soon.

A New Little Bundle to Love!

Our friends and neighbours are due to have their little baby boy in a couple of weeks! We're all very excited and of course, I want to be prepared, so today I bought them a little gift for baby and made them this cute card:

I used the cute Bundle of Love stamp set and coloured the image with SU markers. Colours used were Wisteria Wonder and So Saffron. Gold brads and a button were used as embellishments.

Now we just sit and wait for baby. :)

Flower Shop Bundle School Scrapbooking Page

Today I have another project for you using the Flower Shop Bundle. Actually, a scrapbooking project of my baby's Year 2 school photo:

Trying to keep my layouts simple and fast so I can catch up on the backlog.

I'm really loving these flowers. So versatile. Can think of a million things I want to do with them. If only time weren't a factor. :(

See you soon.

Flower Shop Bundle

Hello!

Welcome to a new year! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and enjoyed a safe break.

One of my Christmas presents from me to me was Stampin' Up!'s Flower Bundle consisting of the stamp set and punch. Here is the result of my first attempt using the lovely bundle:

The flowers were 'rock n rolled' in Pretty in Pink and Rose Red inks and embellished with adhesive rhinestones. The sentiment is from a retired SU set called Vintage Labels. The leaves were punched with the Two Step Bird Punch. I quite like how it turned out - very pretty and feminine.

Back soon with a scrapbooking project using the bundle.

Until then...

Andrea
